I don't know about you, but speaking for myself, I never even realized that there could be a profession
such as a cake designer! I mean, sure I've noticed that some of the bakeries have absolutely
ravishing cake designs. But I've always attributed this more to the fact that the baker was
a creative soul than that there was someone who did only that design cakes. But a recent encounter
with a culinary artist exposed me to the fact.

This culinary artist told me that cake design has been one of the most sought after courses in food design.
In fact, cake designs are as old as cakes themselves. The very first person who manage to create
a skin of icing on the cake was in effect, the very first cake designer. Ever since, there have
been a number of improvements in the field, and not all of them have been widely accepted or used.

For instance, although it is possible to have a number of flavors in the icing used in the cake design,
the most popular options continue to remain plain vanilla and chocolate. And when it comes to materials
used, there have been several options down the ages. But icing sugar continues to be the option
of choice. Keeping the health consciousness of aging and fitness obsessed people in mind, one prominent
company even tried to introduce a sugar free icing sugar. Needless to mention, everyone preferred
the real thing and passed up the fake ingredients.

But more than the ingredients and the trends, it is the skill of the cake designer that determines how
good a cake looks. A good cake designer can convert even the plainest of cakes into a brilliant
and tantalizing creation. And she or he can do so without using very expensive materials.
Just some edible wafers, a whole lot of icing sugar and a good and dependable icing cone will do the
trick. But don't under estimate these items. When they come together finally in the hands
of a master cake designer, they will turn out better and more appealing than anyone expects them to be.

A cake without icing is re-surfacing nowadays, but then, the cakes themselves come in a variety of shapes
and sizes. Gone are the days when it was only possible to make round or square cakes. Nowadays,
with qualified cake designers on board, if you can dream up the design, they can create it for you.

The Scent Of Lemon

In fact, the actual taste of a lemon is quite sour and the artificial lemon flavoring is really nothing
like the real taste. As for oranges, the only thing that beats the scent of an orange is the flavor
of those plump, juicy and refreshing fruits straight from the Florida groves. If I could choose
between having my laundry and home smelling of lemon or orange, I would definitely choose orange with
        no hesitation.[...]

The scent of lemon has long been used as in household cleaners, dish soap and laundry detergent.
A fresh lemon scent is associated with clean sparkling dishes, freshly laundered clothing and a general
feeling of cleanliness. It's strange that of all the citrus fruits, it's taken so long
for the other fresh citrus scents to catch on.

Recently we bought a couple of tubes of toothpaste in the latest and greatest flavors: lemon and
orange. So too, in recent years, the Body Shoppe, famous for their heavenly scented oils, have
started selling Satsuma oil, lotion and shower gel all in a fresh orange scent.

To me, the scent of an orange is just as, if not more, inviting than the scent or flavor of lemon.
In fact, the actual taste of a lemon is quite sour and the artificial lemon flavoring is really nothing
like the real taste. As for oranges, the only thing that beats the scent of an orange is the flavor
of those plump, juicy and refreshing fruits straight from the Florida groves.

If I could choose between having my laundry and home smelling of lemon or orange, I would definitely
         choose orange with no hesitation.

Maybe if the scent and flavor of lemon was given a little rest, it would become more enticing once again.
But for now, the scent and flavor of an orange is one of the best scents ever, and to me it'll beat
the scent and flavor of lemon every single time.

I remember when I was a child, one of my favorite candies was called Fruitella. Along with flavors
like strawberry and peach came the most succulent candies in a luscious orange flavor. To me, these
candies were a little bit of heaven.

As an adult, I always keep an eye out for that fresh orange scent. Of course, most times I'm
disappointed, and end up leaving with another lemon scented dish soap, laundry detergent, window cleaner
and now, even toothpaste. (Orange always seems to be sold out!) We did find a delightful orange bathroom
spray that's very refreshing and I always make sure I'm well-stocked with orange body oil.
But my laundry soap has that fresh lemon scent, I add the flavor of lemon to my chicken and there's
always something of the lemon variety under the kitchen sink.

I wonder when grapefruit or even lime will move into the spotlight of great, refreshing aromas and flavors.
Orange has slowly started to be used more by manufacturers and marketers, taking over a small portion
of the market from lemon. Maybe in the future we'll have even more choices, opening up the
playing field to scents and flavors like watermelon, grape and even pomegranate! In the meantime,
I take orange when I can get it, and lemon when I'm left without much other choice, but I say it's
high time that lemon was dethroned as the only fresh scent out there!

Why would anyone order a steak off of the Internet? A better question is why wouldn't you?
Who wouldn't want a high quality steak at a discounted price, in perfectly good and tasty condition?

You might be wondering if you'll receive a fresh piece of beef in a cardboard box delivered to your
door. No, steaks online are shipped in an insulated reusable cooler with plenty of dry ice.
This ensures your steak will arrive frozen and in perfect condition.

What are the advantages of purchasing your main entree online? Not only will you get a high quality
steak shipped to your front door, you can also save from 25%-63% off of regular in-store prices.
Some steaks online vendors also send you a free gift along with your steak. What kind of free gift?
Why, more meat of course! How about some extra steak burgers? Or you maybe receive a 6-piece
cutlery set and a cutting board thrown in for good measure when you order steaks online?

One other advantage much more important than free gifts is that you can order your steak to be delivered
exactly when you want it. You have the option of ordering your steak as soon as possible or on
a scheduled day. While not every online steak vendor will guarantee this option, many do and this
is why steaks online sales are drastically increasing.

Why shop in a store? You know what steaks look like; not very attractive when they're raw and
stuffed in a package in the frozen meats section. But all that really matters is taste, price and
convenience. Virtually every company will guarantee the delivery of a perfectly frozen steak.
Steaks online are sure to be less expensive than what you find in a supermarket. Steaks online
vendors are competing against grocery stores, after all. There has to be significant savings or
else there would be no reason to order steaks online. Finally, the extras make a steak purchase
over the net worthwhile. Getting a steak delivered to your door whenever you want it is quite the
luxury—and sometimes a necessary expense if you're throwing a large gathering and don't
         have time to waste.

Shipping costs differ greatly between different vendors. A lot of vendors will charge for standard
shipping, as well as FedEx or UPS expedited services. Extra fees may be added on depending on how
much you're spending. On the other hand, some steaks online vendors offer free shipping with
         your purchase.

Anyone who loves steaks can order them from the comfort of their computer. While vegetarians may
never purchase steaks online, meat-lovers who want to save money might want to consider all their options
the next time steak is on the menu.

My son moved to off campus housing this year to save money and to share a rental house with some of his
friends. We helped him move in at the end of the summer. The rental was a shared housing
situation that is common in most college communities. This house had two bedrooms on the main level
with a bath, living room and kitchen. The upper level had two bedrooms and a bath as well as a
sitting area. The sitting area had two desks as well as a futon for overnight guests. Two
of the renters had moved in the day before him so when we arrived there were pizza boxes on the coffee
table in the living room. One of the young men quickly picked up the pizza boxes and threw them
away when he saw that my husband and I were along to help with the move.

My son had struggled as a child to keep his room clean and his things organized. He has worked
on this, but I was concerned that being in a larger space other than a dorm room, and having to contend
with dishes might be a problem. My husband pointed out that he needs to learn sometime, so I hoped
that this would be the time. We helped get him settled and then left for our trip back home.
We made arrangements to come back for a visit to watch the college team play football in a few weeks.

The weekend that we went for the football game was perfect fall weather. The air was crisp and
the sky was a deep blue. We arrived into town earlier than expected. We stopped at a bakery
and picked up my son's favorite Danish as well as several cups of coffee. When we arrived at
the rental house my son had just gotten out of the shower. He told us to sit in the living room
and he would finish getting dressed. The living room was literally covered in pizza boxes.
We could not believe our eyes. When my son saw the number of pizza boxes, he said that the other
guys had been studying late the last few nights for mid-terms. He suggested that we follow him
upstairs and we would have the Danish in the sitting area. The sitting area was not much better.

There were three pizza boxes on the desk tops as well as a number of soda and beer cans. We started
picking up the pizza boxes and cans and placed them into the overflowing garbage can. I took out
the garbage bag and walked through the kitchen to put the garbage in the outside can. There were
a couple pizza boxes on the kitchen counter as well. One of the other renters was making himself
breakfast. He told me that two of the guys that live in the house work at a local pizza place and
so they bring home the leftovers from the buffet that is served there. At least my son was not
paying huge amounts of money to contribute to the mess that the pizza boxes were creating in the house.

use my regular charcoal grill outside when I wanted to grill there.[...]

You probably already have about everything that you need in your kitchen. Really, most cooking
can be done with just a stove and an oven, with a bit of microwave and toaster oven on the side.
Unless you are the type of person who always likes to have the newest and greatest of appliances, you
probably do quite well with this standard set of cookware. In general, I feel the same way.

When a friend of mine started recommending the George Foreman grill, I thought that he was just trying
to get me to waste money. What did I need with a George Foreman indoor outdoor grill? I could
use my regular charcoal grill outside when I wanted to grill there. And as for inside, why did
I need a George Foreman indoor outdoor grill to cook in there when I could either grill on top of my
stove, or broil in my oven. But I came over and cooked with him one night on his George Foreman
indoor outdoor grill, and let me say that I was convinced.

The thing is that the George Foreman indoor outdoor grill has several advantages over normal kitchen
cookware. In my opinion, nothing beats outdoor grilling, but for indoor grilling, a George Foreman
grill has some really decisive advantages over grilling on the stove top. It is extremely easy
to clean a George Foreman indoor outdoor grill, because all of the grease automatically drips off into
a pan at the bottom which can then be washed in the sink or the dishwasher. When you compare this
with the ordeal of grilling on a stove top, or even worse, all the cleanup that goes into broiling, there
are some obvious advantages to the George Foreman indoor outdoor grill.

One of my favorite things about the George Foreman indoor outdoor grill, however, is simply the way that
it cooks my food. It gets nice grill marks, like you would get on an outdoor charcoal grill, and
can create a nice high heat much more quickly than can an electric stove. In addition, me George
Foreman grill can close on top, heating the food from both the top and bottom at once, and getting great
grill marks on both sides. This makes it the easiest way to grill. After all, using conventional
grilling, you have to rotate your food all the time, but with the George Foreman indoor outdoor grill,
you can just set it there and have it cook perfectly.

done with all those boiled and colored eggs left by the Easter Bunny.

Everyone loves the look of the whites of the eggs slightly colored by the stray food dye in spring colors
of blue, green and bright pink adding to the festive occasion. The best thing about deviled eggs is
that they aren't just for Easter. You find deviled eggs at all kinds of gatherings. At pot lucks
they are among everybody's favorite dishes on a long table. They are perfect as a snack when visitors
come to call.Christmas they are ideal beside the honey baked ham.Thanksgiving you'll find them
beside all the other relishes letting the turkey take the center stage.

If you've never made them yourself you may think it is a difficult undertaking but if you can boil
an egg you can make this tasty treat.

There are a few supplies you'll need when making them: a one dozen carton of eggs, mayonnaise
or creamy white salad dressing of your choice, your favorite type of mustard, dill or sweet pickle relish
depending on your preference, and hot or sweet paprika.

Before you make them, here's how to boil them to ensure a fully cooked egg.First, find a stockpot
large enough to accommodate your eggs and the water you'll be boiling them with.Make sure that
you have enough room in the pot for the eggs, the water, and extra boiling room.Place the eggs in
the pot and fill with water up to an inch over your eggs.Put the pot on the stove and turn the heat
onto high.As soon as you get a good rolling boil, cover with a lid and reduce the heat to medium low.Cook
for fifteen minutes.Remove the pot from the stove and carefully place the eggs in cold water. When
the eggs are cooled peel them.By now you should have the most difficult part done.

Next cut each of your eggs in half, lengthwise.Remove the fully cooked yolks and place them into a
bowl.Put the empty whites on a serving tray.Mash the eggs yolks with cup mayo/salad dressing,
3 tablespoons mustard and, 2 tablespoons relish.Mix well and place the deviled eggs mixture in a sandwich
type bag.Cut a small hole in the bottom corner of the bag.Squeeze the deviled eggs mixture into
the empty whites in a pattern that's pleasing to you.Dust lightly with sweet paprika when finished
or if you prefer spicy foods, hot paprika but use sparingly until you are sure of the effect on the deviled
eggs.Put them into the fridge for a few hours and before you know it, your deviled eggs are ready
         to eat.

Hey, summertime is almost here again. We all know what that means. It's time to break
out the old grill. Those wonderful picnics outdoors and family barbeques are back. Finally
we all can get out of the house and experience that warm sun and fresh air. You own a grill; don't
you? Ah ha, I know what you're thinking right now. You're probably wondering why
I'm relating grilling to the outdoors.

Well, the reality is that we no longer need the summer sun and magnificent weather to grill our favorite
foods. These days there is a little innovation known as the George Foreman grill. This baby
cooks it all. I don't care which meat you're itching to grill up, the George Foreman grill
has it covered. I purchased mine two years ago, and still enjoy it regularly.

Have you got a George Foreman grill yet? Well, if you're like the majority of America, then
you've surely picked one up to try out. It's not like they're kept a secret.
With the numerous infomercials and ads, the George Foreman grill is slightly hard to miss. The
pitch behind this handy little machine concerns health. Your health, to be more exact. When
you cook your hotdogs, hamburgers, and steaks on the George Foreman grill, the fat and grease conveniently
stream away from the meat and into a tray. This way you can enjoy your favorite meats without the
burden of high fat and cholesterol.

We could all use some better eating habits. I love to grill anything from, hamburgers, to pork
chops, to brats, to turkey burgers on my George Foreman grill. It cooks rather quickly and without
the hassles of the older-style grills. Remember the old charcoal kettles? First you had to
lay in the brickets, then you had to wait for them to heat up, oh, and there is always that nasty grill
top to clean. And then to top it off, you had the ashes to deal with afterwards.

If you are interested in eating healthier, then you may want to consider the George Foreman grill.
You can find these low-priced cooking aids at most department stores. They are typically located
in the kitchen section. Fortunately you can also purchase a George Foreman grill from the comfort
of your own home. Get online today and find the absolute best deals on George Foreman grills.
With the world at your fingertips, you're sure to get the lowest price.

This year for valentines day, my sweetie got me a box full of chocolate seashells. I can't
tell you how much I like those delicious spirals of confectionary delight. They send shivers down
my back just thinking about them. He got these chocolate seashells from Godiva chocolate which,
in my oppinion, is possibly the best chocolate maker which has ever graced my mouth with its tender morsels
of pure delight. Yum, how I love chocolate seashells.

Besides the chocolate seashells, he got me roses, and took me out to the most romantic evening that
you can imagine. First off, we went to this lovely little Italian restaurant, and sat outside on
a little alley terrace with the early evening sky showing through above, and a little candle in a basket
on the table. Then we went to a walk on the beach to watch the sunset. It was one of those
spectacular sunsets, all oranges and pinks and golden. It filled the entire sky with glowing.
I chewed on chocolate seashells as we contemplated the waves, held eachothers hands and kissed.

The big surprise was the early evening cruise. You might think this is strange timing for the cruise
and that it might make more sense just to watch the sunset, but you'd be wrong. Instead, we
got to watch the twilight darken into night, and the stars come out amongst the darkness of the waves
and the blackening sky. We kissed under a full moon and felt the breeze ruffle our hair.
I'll tell you, there's nothing on earth like watching the night wind rise it beats sunrise
hands down, no matter what you say.

Finally, we drove to an adorable bed and breakfast place nearby the ocean and stayed, pampered, soaking
until late in the evening in the hot tub. The next morning, the breakfast we had was delicious
and adorable. Cute little croissants shaped like starfish topped with delicious homemade marmelade
and whipped butter. The town it was quaint, and we got to walk around, watching farmers go about
their daily routine and looking at the little puffy clouds going by. We got to go hiking along
the trails, and to explore the local tourist attractions, which was fun if a little corny at times.
And now I have the rest of the weekend to enjoy with him. I'll tell you, I'm the luckiest
         girl in the world.

My first exposure to really good (useful) cake decorating supplies was when I was a kid and used to watch
my grandmother baking and decorating. She would bake and cool a set of cakes, ice the layers and
the cake in completion, thenthe moment of greatest delight for mereach into a special cabinet and
retrieve cake decorating supplies in a package that looked like a gift box: the cake decorating
supplies were kept stored in parts, each part fitting into its own cardboard cutout form. Gram
would pull out the metal barrel, the plunger, the washer, and one or more of the tips...the tip to make
leaves, to make flowers, to do tubing, to set stars.

She would assemble the pieces and spoon one color frosting at a time into the cool metal tube, screw
on the plunger, and set to work decorating, which took hours that were probably grueling, though she
never expressed a single complaint and I never moved, enthralled as I was by the process, till she was
done. When I had my own home, years later, she sent me a set of cake decorating supplies that were
just like her set. I practiced occasionally, and found these decorators to be remarkable things
of beautyin form and function (and durability).

Somewhere along the way, I lost or loaned and never got back my cake decorating supplies, and replaced
them with the ultra-professional frosting bags and decorating tips, which were just as lovely (though
if you have hot hands, the canvas bags transfer the heatfaster than it would with the metal set--to
the frosting and it will puddle, so hold the bag by the top where you have twisted or folded it).

Last year for Christmas, I wanted to give a friend who has recently gotten into gourmet baking a set
of those cake decorating supplies of yore. Not having time to go online, I found, stupidly, a discounted
cake decorator at a local department store. The thing doesn't stay closed (at the plunger and
cap), and it is plastic and stays greasy after washing. Ugh. Twenty years ago I would have
had an excuse, but today, I should know better...and use a source like eBay, where we not only find cake
decorating supplies but those of the quality of the originals: Look for the brand name Wilton or
use keywords like “vintage” or “original” or “aluminum”...for the
kind of cake-decorating supplies Gram had.

Broccoli is one of the most versatile vegetables. It can be eaten raw with a dip, tossed into a
stir fry or steamed and served with a pat of butter. Another versatile vegetable is broccoli sprouts.
Broccoli sprouts are just as delicious as broccoli and can be a nice alternative to serving broccoli
         in the traditional sense.

Broccoli sprouts are easy to grow and even if you don't have a large vegetable garden on your property
you can be enjoying homegrown sprouts in a matter of days. They are tasty and can be added to a
sandwich or a salad. Broccoli sprouts contain all of the same nutrients as the traditional heads
of broccoli we are all accustomed to.

If you don't have a green thumb but still want to enjoy the nutritional benefits of broccoli sprouts
they can now be purchased in most supermarkets. Normally placed near the broccoli they are best
when they are relatively fresh. You can tell how fresh they are by their texture. Broccoli
sprouts should be crunchy and firm.

Most children shy away from vegetables that are unfamiliar to them. Trying new things is often
the last thing they want to do. If you explain that the sprouts are just another form of the broccoli
that they like in their salad or with dip, they will be more likely to give them a chance. If broccoli
isn't one of their favorite foods than it might be best not to mention that the sprouts are actually
         just another form of that.

Adding the broccoli sprouts to familiar dishes is also an effective way to introduce them to the younger
members of your family. When added to a beef stir fry or chicken chow mein the taste blends well
         with the other ingredients.

Adding the sprouts to other dishes is just as easy. Salads are family favorites and often contain
many assorted vegetables including tomatoes, carrots and radishes. Throwing in a few broccoli sprouts
will only add to the crispness and flavor of the salad.

For many people broccoli just isn't high on their list of favorite foods. For these people
the idea of eating another food that is related to the vegetable is really unappetizing. However,
it's important to note that the flavor of the broccoli sprouts is different than the flavor of a
head of broccoli. It's impossible to know whether or not you'll like the sprouts unless
         you give them a taste.

Broccoli sprouts are an inexpensive way to add a nutritional food to your menu. Experiment with
them and create some dishes of your own.

Are you too busy to cook and get stuck in a rut when it comes to meal planning? A very practical
solution to this dilemma is once a month cooking or OAMC. Take one or two days and just cook up
a storm, and fill your freezer with all the meals you'll need for the next month. Clean up
will be minimal too, and the time you save cooking and cleaning can be better spent with your family
or doing something else you enjoy. Once a month cooking works well for singles, couples, and small
         or large families.

Food items needed to prepare the meals can be purchased in bulk or when they are on sale, which will
greatly reduce the monthly grocery bill too. No one could complain about that! I don't
know about you, but I am somewhat disturbed when I walk out of the grocery store with one small bag of
groceries that cost $25 or more!

To get started you will want to sit down and pick out meals that you or your family won't get tired
of during the next month. Make the shopping list based on enough ingredients for at least twenty-four
meals, depending on how often you eat out, and don't forget extra freezer bags, aluminum foil pans,
or other storage containers. Being organized will help you out tremendously! Online once
a month cooking sites recommend that once you have chosen the meals you want to prepare, look at all
the ingredients needed and add up what you'll need.

You want to make sure your shopping list is accurate, because you don't want to spend time running
to the grocery store when you should be cooking! For recipes that can't be completely assembled
ahead of time, like Sloppy Joes, make sure buns are on the list and frozen separately with the meat mixture
so that everything is on hand when you need it.

If you're interested in simplifying your life and once a month cooking, visit any number of online
sites for recipe ideas, storage tips, and more. Busy people don't want to spend time in the
kitchen cooking when they could be doing something else. Once a month cooking is the answer; it
saves time, money, and your sanity. Meal planning can become monotonous and a chore, which is why
it is so much easier with once a month cooking. Take two or three days to simplify your life and
the lives of your family members, and enjoy the rest of the month!

Just about every household has at least one frying pan. This is a traditional cooking item that
has helped many families create any number of meals throughout recent history. This accessible
necessity of the culinary world has been around for quite some time. Even people who claim that
they can't boil water have delved into creating interesting dishes by using a frying pan.

However, the cooking item is not quite as simple as it may seem. There are different types of this
frying pan and they each require different care when in use and when it is being cleaned. Many
cooks have received hard-earned lessons by unwittingly mistreating the instrument.

Mistreating your frying pan can wreak havoc on the meal and on the cooking instrument itself but the
mistreatment is often done out of lack of knowledge rather than lack of caring. I speak of this
with seemingly unrealistic passion but I was a cook who learned a hard lesson. I thought that I
         was doing something very nice.

The frying pan can be made out of a number of different materials. Each material requires different
care and maintenance. What works for one kind of frying pan will not work for another. It
is very important to follow some general rules for the various types of frying pans that you own.

One of the most attractive materials that can be found in cookware is copper. A copper frying pan
is able to withstand some punishment and it is an excellent conductor of heat. Many people like
to display their copper cookware by hanging them on a rack. However, the copper tends to tarnish
so be prepared to polish them every so often.

Aluminum and stainless steel are durable metals that also conduct heat very well. A frying pan
made out of either of these metals will require little maintenance. I love these metals for cookware
but I have noticed that food tends to stick to the surface quite easily if not properly greased.

Manufacturers created a non-stick coating known as Teflon to address sticking problems. While this
coating does wonders for the sticking situation, it can peel after extended use. Peeling often
occurs as a result of overheating. This is not a favorite of mine.

I do have a particular favorite and that is the traditional cast iron frying pan. What I love about
my cast iron frying pan is that it gets better with age. I learned that this material will rust
if washed too much by ruining an antique one owned by my husband. I simply wipe mine with a paper
towel after each use. This classic frying pan is a favorite among seasoned cooks.

Everyone wants to take better care of themselves and that includes making certain that they are eating
the best foods that they can. Raw foods are believed to be the right choice when it comes to picking
healthy ingredients, but you may be surprised to learn that eating a diet rich in raw foods isn't
as simple as going to the grocery store and choosing a few items.

When you decide to start eating foods in their natural state consider where that food is coming from.
Most vegetables that you purchase at your local grocers have to travel quite a distance before they reach
the store. In order to keep them looking and tasting their best they are covered with preservatives.
Before they are even picked they come in contact with chemicals in the form of pesticides.

If you want to avoid ingesting all of these unwanted additives there are a couple of things you can do.
One is to purchase organic raw foods. These are grown in such a way that no chemicals are used
in the growing process. There are also no preservatives used so that you know for certain exactly
what you are eating. You are getting all the best parts of the food without anything unnatural
         being added.

An alternative to purchasing organic fruits and vegetables is to grow your own. Many families have
grown and eaten their own raw foods for many years. This is not only an inexpensive way to eat
healthy but it also affords you the chance to get out in the summer sun and do some gardening.
Imagine how satisfying it will be when you pick your own carrots or lettuce. This is really what
raw foods are all about; completely fresh and free of any additives.

If fruits and vegetables aren't your favorite food group, consider diving into the world of sushi.
There is a sushi bar in almost every town and city now. Sushi has become one of the most popular
raw foods there is. Some people can't imagine eating raw fish but it's delicious and at
least worth a try. It truly is one of the tastiest and more nutritious foods there is.

It's always a good idea to eat foods that you not only enjoy but are also good for you. Consider
the source when you are shopping for raw foods. In the case of fruits and vegetables, these are
things that need to be consumed shortly after purchase. It's a good idea to buy a few items
every couple of days so the food doesn't go bad before being eaten.

as well as knowing how cows are treated on the farm.[...]

Pizza is perhaps the greatest food ever created. It is a universal product, able to please people
of all ages, and even incorporate a giant rat into food marketing campaigns. There are a wide selection
of pizza toppings to choose from and being able to pick and choose anything, from pepperoni to anchovies
to ham and mushrooms, makes pizza all the more tasty.

But what is the deal with cheese pizza? What's the point of eating pizza without toppings?
Some pizza lovers prefer the simple taste of cheese pizza to the overwhelming taste of topping meats
         like pepperoni or sausages.

Some pizza lovers are also animal lovers and prefer not to eat any topping derived from cows, pigs or
fish. Furthermore, vegans (strict vegetarians) feel uncomfortable eating regular cheese, knowing
that small animal ingredients are included in regular dairy products, as well as knowing how cows are
treated on the farm. Hence, many vegetarians will shop for substitute cheese and other products
that are dairy-free. Pizza Hut, a major pizza chain, has started to sell soy cheese pizzas in selected
areas and has received a lot of support from vegetarians.

Skimping on toppings and regular cheese can also help pizza lovers cut down on calories. Many low
fat, low calorie pizzas, as well as 100% vegetarian pizzas without regular dairy cheese, are available
in large grocery stores. There are soy-based cheese pizza substitutes as well as low cholesterol
and lactose free cheese pizza items, for those more concerned with health than vegetarian causes.

Cheese pizza is a common item found on any pizza menu, and usually cost about $1-3 less than a full pizza
with toppings. What kinds of cheese are used on pizzas? While Mozzarella cheese is the usual
favorite, sometimes, special pizza cheese is used in restaurants and on frozen selections that is designed
to melt easily and retain its chewy quality. Other cheeses can be added or used in place of the
regular cheese, such as smoked Provolone cheese, Romano, Ricotta, and Cheddar cheese, as well as powdered
Parmesan cheese which is easy to sprinkle on.

Additionally, recipes for cheese pizza, soy cheese pizza, and non-soy but still 100% vegetarian cheese
pizza products can be found online and printed for free. Now you can make your own cheese pizza
rather than having to spend extra money for vegetarian or health food products, or compromise your scruples
for the sake of a good pizza meal.

Note that edible cheese pizza should not be confused with the Cheese Pizza Tavern Tour by the Wild Retro
Band. While both may be cheesy, delicious and fun, one is a band touring across the Midwest and
the other is available in the frozen food section of your favorite store. Only one of two is edible
and melts well in a microwave. Cheese pizza is healthy, humane and just as tasty as the classic
         pizza meal.

When most people think of Japanese food, the first thing that comes to mind is raw fish. Don't
ask me why or how this came into being, but ever since the world heard about sushi, Japanese food has
only meant one thing - raw fish. But it was only recently that I discovered a whole new side to
Japanese food. It is a culinary delight just like the food of any other region on earth.
In fact, as someone who has tried and relished Japanese food, I might go so far as to say that it is
among the rarest and the best cuisines in the world today.

Taste, especially in matters of food, is a very subjective thing. Most people cannot stand the
smell of certain pungent herbs. Still others don't like certain ways of cooking food.
Even others may have a problem with the addition of certain spices or vegetables. But Japanese
food incorporates all these tastes and caters to even more. What I like best about Japanese food
is the fact that it offers a holistic approach to the concept of food itself. Like the concept
of Zen, Japanese food treats each human being as a balance of the elements and suggests the making and
consumption of various articles of food as a way to retain that balance.

This is what especially appeals to me. So, if there is some Japanese food that is fried, you can
be pretty sure that a boiled or steamed accompaniment is suggested to go along with it. If there
is a certain food that is raw, you can be pretty sure that the sauce that coats it is pungent enough
to cover the taste. These are only the observations of a novice in the art of appreciation of Japanese
food. Perhaps someone who had a tad more experience could relate the finer aspects much better.

But ever since I have read up more about Japanese food, I have realized that it is a totally unique cuisine
that demands a thorough understanding before it can be appreciated. And believe me, I have become
a convert of sorts. I can now distinguish between sushi and sashimi; between ramen and udon; between
wasabi and sake and even between various kinds of exotic vegetables and herbs used. Nowadays, whenever
I go out looking for good food, a place serving Japanese food is one of the first ports of call.
